"Raame Aandalum Raavane Aandalum" Movie Review

'Raame Aandalum Raavane anadalum' lead by the casts Mithun Manikam, Ramya Pandian and Vani Bhojan states clearly about the current situation of people living in the villages comparing it with the city life. Several critics state that it is another junk of a movie added up to the Kollywood industry , Is it?

Starting of the film shows a scene of a villager Kunnimuthu(Mithun Manikam)  reporting that his cattle have gone missing. At the same time, there are two people who wants to check upon the case of a lost dog of a MLA. The police are in search of the dog but they aren't doing it for the cattle. The opening scene sets up the plot for the movie and gradually builds upon it. The whole first half of the movie revolves around the life of Kunnimuthu his wife Veerayi(Ramya Pandian) along with his friend and mom in search of the cattle and the flashback of their lives and how the cattle got associated with them. Later in the second half, they come to know that it wasn't lost but instead it was stolen from them courtesy News10 reporter(Vani Bhojan). From here the serious part of the movie picks up where the director wants to point out how the society is working for its own selfish goals. From there the climax shows how he manages to find the cattle.

Starting with the cinematography. It was more focused on the characters I felt rather they could have made it better by depicting the beauty of the village at some places as well. The background works turned up well hence polishing the output of the film. The opening portions which clearly depicted the life of a normal person in a village were excellently shot bringing out the life in it. There were some glitches in the screenplay and direction. Felt a lot of lag in many scenes which made me see the time often hence disengaging at times. The director put his ideas in form of parts and only those scenes were shot and hence disturbing the continuity of the story. Felt as if parts from here and there were taken and compiled together hence not bringing out the full essence of the script. The climax scene seemed as though there is a rule that every movie needs a happy ending hence the cattle must come back to the family. I felt the climax had no purpose to the script and the movie could have had a better ending without it. Apart from that, I hope the director has made his motive clear and has brought out the movie really well.

Definitely, the movie is a one-time watch, must-watch I might say. The message delivered by the director is a much-needed one and hope our country becomes one sooner or later. And yeah I would say that it's surely not junk but a much-needed one instead.
